Since it's going to be an average of 3 weeks or less out I would suggest people to get the new Pi Zero W (unless you are planning to use a Pi 3) since it integrates the Wifi and Bluetooth that many people want and will make the install of my board less headache inducing since alot of usb issues were with Wifi/Keyboards.

I am really wanting to build one of these and after researching, have a few questions if you don't mind me asking...

First of all, I see a few different AIO boards for this project at various sites. How does this (AIO 2.2A) compare to Kite's AIO and/or this seemingly basic one offered on Amazon?

I know there are endless ways to build this out, but what I'm wanting is for the device to look just like (or similar to) an original Game Boy when powered off. Based on that, will this board work or would I need to use another one? I already own some of the parts needed, but this is so cool; that I'll purchase whatever parts needed to make it an ideal build. Also, what would be the best Pi to use for the build I'm planning? The post before this suggested using the new Pi W and I'm sure the Pi 3 is too big, but wasn't sure how they compared to the Zero for this project.

Finally, I live in Tennessee, USA. If I were to order a board today, about how long would it be before I received it? Would it be possible to pay a bit extra for expedited shipping?

First and foremost you can pay for faster shipping but since I don't have the boards on hand this is a preorder as the title says. So you pay for one and once I get them in in the next couple of weeks I will ship them out to people, usually in the order I got the orders and since you're in the USA like myself you will get the board in less than 3 days once it's shipped. So extra expense for shipping is not really a good option but that's on you to make the decision.

My board contains a large part of the build but is geared towards a more DIY approach while Kite's board is all inclusive so very few parts needed and less DIY. He won't have stock again for a while and is still going through his current orders, while I plan to have stock in a few weeks. It's all dependent on what you want to do and pay and your wait time for all parts including these AIO boards to be available, any other specific questions about Kite's board are best addresses to him as he knows his schedule and plans better than I.


If you can remove most of the sockets on the Pi3 it's a far better option than the Zero but is alot larger, if you go with the Zero get the new Zero W for the added benefits of Wifi and Bluetooth out of the box.

hello guys,

from what I understood. The board will also have a headphone jack like older revisions. The picture on the first page does not have one since they were not available at that time.

Am I correct here?
