Power Bank Boost plate!

Post by Lphillimore » Thu Feb 16, 2017 8:48 pm

Hi Guys,

Has anyone used one of these? Any feedback / performance etc?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/311716186084

I have 2x Powerboost 1000c in my builds so far but this thing looks like it might also do the business?

UPDATE:

Looks like this is the Banggood one.

So aside from the lack of low battery LED...any other negatives?

Cheers

You can solder LED's to them the solder pads are next to the usb ports.

That's all I've used. Cheap and work good. It would cost way too much to have a power boost shipped from adafruit to Canada, so I got a few of these and have never had issues.

No low battery led is fine. And you can add leds but they only show charging, charged, and when there is a load applied. Also they do have an led that shows all those colors it just isn't easy to see when the case is closed.

Read it on here somewhere but can't find it now. Clearly not the case though as nobody is reporting it and a lot of people using them

Charge whilst playing also confirmed?

@rodocop How do you find the performance on these? Currently fully charging my battery to give it a proper test but...

1) Do you find the module runs hot?

- Mine seems to.

2) When your battery is very low, does it start to cut out and reboot? (Unless you have a safe shutdown that is)

- Mine does, but this mirrors what my other builds do with a Powerboost 1000c.
