I try to build a Gameboy Zero with a Pi3, and I almost finish but I've got 3question...

1- For wiring the sound I find this pic on the Forum but where I can wire the volume wheel??

2- I recieved this analog stick Since few days I'm looking for the pin but I didn't find, so please someone can say to me what are the Pin?? (I mean VCC, GRND, Yaxis and Xaxis)

3- and that the AIO2.2A board I've got, Do I need to reprogram the board for analogstick? (I'm 100% sure) but I want to do it with an USBasp (link for buy a good one ?) and where I have to plug it? JP2?

The previous user said or what I read it to be, to not use a volume wheel so I did that wiring you posted to correspond to his request but if you are using the volume wheel then wire the volume wheel like it is above in @Marty33's post.

What is the link of the analog stick you bought? I can then tell you how to wire it and yes you need to reprogram it for an analog stick.

Anyone having static or noise on the audio is common with PWM and it can be minimized using @Paddy's suggestions a few pages back of basically wrapping a wire around the PWM audio wires and soldering each end to GND on the Pi and GND on the AIO to Shield it against interference.

ok, I found the problem ... it's just a mechanical problem. I used two different pads (one new from Ebay and one old from an old gameboy) ... it's unbelievable but the old one is working without problems ...

So if anyone have similar problems ... try different pads first:

I think it for PSP2000 but I'm not sure.

I already command the UsbAsp on Amazon, but for now I'm looking for a sound solution. I've got sound, but a lot of static also... I will try different config.

Sound static is very well documented and a good fix by Paddy was posted a few pages back, I'll add the info to the first post though.

Retropie isn't recognizing my AIO internal controller. Connecting a usb controller to the AIO usb hub works fine. Did I miss a config step?

I'm powering from the powerboost directly to the AIO board, I've double and triple-checked that my usb connections to the pi are correct, and I've re-imaged the sd card several times along with running 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade'

Still no luck.

Try connecting the controller to a PC with the main USB connections and GND and 5V from one of the many points on the AIO to a USB cable and see if the PC recognizes the controller as an Arduino Controller (it might need to install some drivers first). Then let me know what it shows up as.

I did as you said and it shows up as an empty 4-port usb hub. It doesn't ever try to install drivers for the aio, but it did automatically install drivers for the xbox controller

I am having the same issue. AIO controler not recognized by retropie. I haven't tested by connecting to PC. Am I just supposed to wire a USB cable to one of the hub ports on the AIO?

EDIT: After continuing to troubleshoot I eventually got this working. The best I can figure is that I may have shorted PP22 and PP23.

All controls seem fine in ES but my controls are completely borked in setup-menu areas (e.g. LEFT dpad seems to be registering as A/confirm). This makes it tough to do any configuration. Is this a known problem with a workaround? I had to put the sd in another pi to get the wifi configured...

I have a v2.1 blue board. I have sound but it is very low. I don't have a usb hub yet so I can't go in and adjust the sound in the retropie menu. Any other way to increase the sound? Volume pot all the way up. Thanks
