You can solder directly to the battery if you like. I've used samsung galaxy note 3 batteries before and have done this.

I've also thought about getting some of these, that way if you have the battery in the cartridge slot the battery can easily be removed...

I used a phone battery in my build. Be careful with soldering on these batteries!
Too much heat can make them explode... More info about battery safety: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1040

Instead of soldering, you can also use these connectors. https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/25pcs-lo ... a39ac4653c

This is exactly the solution I was looking for! :D Are those 3D printed parts to form a snug fit in the battery bay? Did you find they were necessary?

How are you charging the battery? and how long does it take to charge?

I don't have a 3D printer so i made the plastic parts by hand. When you clear the entire battery compartment, the battery will be too thin. I made those plastic parts to make the battery lay higher and the battery cover clamps the battery so it does not move.

actually the idea of using this battery and pogo pins comes from @Hoolyhoo.

You can use the Powerboost or banggood charger. In my build its in kites AIO and using that. It takes 5 or 6 hours to charge.

Ok thanks for the info guys. I plan to incorporate such a higher capacity battery and guessing I'm going with 2A charging to speed the charge time up.

How would one modify their build to shorten the charge time? I'm using the SAIO and have no experience with any of this.
