BW TFT Driver Board Damage

Post by Arkies » Thu Jul 27, 2017 3:11 pm

Hey all
I've just started up my GBZ project and I got a little overzealous and popped a capacitor and another component off the driver board for the TFT screen. I was wondering if I would be able to solder the components back on and pretend like nothing happened.

Here are the ones I popped off. The black one marked 101 looks like a spool of tiny copper wire.

Any hope?

Yes sure as long as no damage to those cap & inductor, you solder them back. How did you pop those components off? 😁

I didn't see the other screw so i twisted the back of the case, but I did it a little too hard and the bits came off, haha. Thank you for the info! the inductor was damaged but we know the code on it, think I could buy a 101 inductor from amazon and slap it on there?

You should be able to wire a new one on, just make sure you get the polarity correct.
