nothing about the safe shutdown button

Reading above your post is becoming harder and harder these days, I don't know how you can find an answer to anything without this basic skill.

I put up a video showing how to install this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd8Jjnwh_p4
I also updated the pre-made Retropie image to include Hoolyhoo's scripts: http://www.mediafire.com/file/24femkzmc ... v2.img.zip

Helder, sorry for reposting here.

When did you start shipping the safe shutdown boards? I'm in the middle of a build and I was wondering if I should wait for the 4 boards I ordered.

Thanks. Sorry for being a pest.

I actually didn't ship any besides the combo sales but will start on Monday. I had a family event happen this weekend so I was not able to deal with the orders but will start on Monday.

Added Wermy's Video to the first post because you know reading is hard to do these days and if it isn't shown in a video then how can you put 1 and 1 together? Thanks Wermy.

Just a quick tip. After attaching the board, you should do a continuity check between the ground pad on the battery monitor and the raspberry pi. My minty wouldnt start, but noticed it would if the usb on the pi touched the case (indicating a bad ground). I first checked continuity between the battery monitor board and the grounds on the button pcb. They checked out okay. I came across this post (viewtopic.php?t=3665) where they had to jumper a ground from the pi to the button pcb. That gave me the idea to check continuity between the monitor board ground and the pi. Sure enough, it was weak. I re-soldered it, check out okay and everything worked. Started to put it back together again and it stopped working again. Another continuity check failed. Re-soldered again and now its been happy.

GND is a huge area so you need to keep heat on it for a little longer than the other pads until it all becomes liquid.

I had this same issue last night. Mine would boot up and then shut down with just a slight touch to the board/Pi. Tracked it down to the battery monitor ground. Like you and Helder said you have to keep the soldering iron on the grounds a little longer than the other points, especially that big battery monitor one.

If you have a heat gun, you can preheat the pad before starting soldering, it will help a looooot
