My 4th ish GBZ

Post by rodocop » Fri Sep 15, 2017 9:19 pm

So a friend of mine started a GBZ, lost interest part way through. I offered to finish what he partially started. He's pretty happy its finally done. It's not the prettiest, but it's done. It's using a regular pi zero, usb hub, wifi dongle, pwm audio, with adafruit amp, no headphones or volume wheel (in game audio adjustment), basic button PCB, gearbest screen, samsung note 3 battery, and banggood powerboost.

Once my buddy finds his Tetris cartridge we'll cover the battery. This was also started before it was common to leave a lip for the screen cover. So it's just gonna stay without a screen cover for now.

Aren't you afraid of breaking something with those UsB ports coming out the shell ? It's really risky for a handheld device :?

Everything was already glued in place when I started. So i left the USB as is. If it doesnt work out its easy enough to open and fix up a bit!
