prs tech cartridge connectivity help

Post by king » Fri Sep 15, 2017 1:25 pm

so recently i bought a prs tech gameboy cartridge for the micro sd card and I am using it with the gameboy's original cartrige reader. Does anyone know how i am supposed to wire the cartridge reader correctly and how i am supposed to check for the right connectivity? the place where the sd card is entered is covered, makindg it very hard to test for connectivity

thanks :)

Also check Wermys second GBZ build guide / videors as these documents how the cart readers should be wired. The original Gameboy ones are slightly harder to do than the ds lite readers but only just 😎

my problem was that i was wiring my cartridge reader on the wrong side. YaYa's image helped me a lot. It was able to have it boot from the cartridge a couple of times, but then the sd card corrupted :(. When i tried desoldering the wires to change their length, I stopped getting any image(no activation light either) even when i put the sd card directly into the sd card port. When i put the sd card in a different pi, it still runs (is still corrupted tho :/ )). I think i overheated the pi zero and now nothing will boot from it, even when i hook it up to my tv.

You may have over heated the Pi's board and some components may be dead. You are good to buy another Pi

If the sd card is corrupted, then the only way to fix it is install a new image over it.
