Hello everyone,
Took up the game boy zero project as complete amateur, never doing something like this before and have become super excited. I really don't have any experience with soldering or working with someone like the Pi.
I'm sort of bummed at the moment due to the fact that all PCB's (all-in-ones) for beginners (I planned on just following Wermy's youtube guide) are sold out or discontinued. Only boards dealing with buttons seem to be left, which I feel lost on.
I've already made a bunch of purchases, following Wermy's guide, but am stuck on the PCB. Does anyone have a hint when the next All-In-One from Helder will become available or something with a less steep learning curve? I'll apologies if I'm being daft.
Thanks!!!
Any idea when the next all-in-one will become available?

Helder has said AIOs will resume once minty pi has died down a bit and he has some time to focus on it (he's just one guy, not a production facility)

The memeber Ckliang is selling his own all in one boards here, similar to Helder's boards:

I have been in contact with him and I may purchase one. Also another alternative is to buy the simple buttons PCB's found on amazon/ebay etc....It's a little more involved but they are pretty simple to set up. You would follow the same guide for Werm'y first build mostly, but replace the chopped up GameBoy PCB with the simple button PCB.

Lots of helpful members here, and lots of info in the forums, so it will not be hard to put together a GBZ without an AIO board.

Re: Any idea when the next all-in-one will become available?
Did you ever make any progress on this? I've done the same as you describe, and I plan to boldly proceed with the basic "8-bit Oldies" button board and Teensy. I'm a beginner as well, so we will see how things go. Worst case, I'll just buy an AIO when the next becomes available and sub-out everything I was unable to set up correctly. However, wermy's excellent guides and this forum give me confidence that I can work through the challenge.kevinpfeiffer729 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 12:22 pm

If you are still working through this, I'm willing to offer my learnings and support for what it is worth as we both try and figure this out.
