This bracket uses the orginal dmg buttons, not tactile switches. So the picture you linked would not work on this bracket. However I do make another bracket that uses those buttons you have. Check my signature for the link to that page![]()
Great.
Thank you.
I trying to do something with this big buttons (like in my link to Ali...) and PCB (to dont have a sound of clicking button).
I also prefer that kind of size for L&R than original buttons.
Actually i trying to do my owen 3D model of bracket.
What software do you use?
I use the free one, but the finition if very rude.SpoilerShow

Thank you for links.neolith wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:29 amI don't know what erik_gee uses, but three good free CAD programs are Autodesk Fusion 360, Onshape and FreeCAD.
Fusion 360 is cloudbased and available for Windows & OSX, Onshape is webbased and runs in several browsers on practically any system and FreeCAD ist a classic download for Windows/OSX/Linux. All are free for personal use.
I will try to use it.

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Also, I've decided on prices. I've been asking community input for a while , as I want to make sure it's fair for everyone since we are all In this community together and I don't believe in gouging my fellow modders. But unfortunately only a few people have come forward with input in the matter so it's all I have to go on.
The full set including all the bracket bits, along with buttons and pads will be 18$ plus shipping. Just the bracket set without the buttons and pads will be 15$ plus shipping.
Please let me explain my decision so that you can see where I'm coming from.
1) Starting off: the closest item to this product I can find is caste's amazing bracket. His bracket fits at a higher location and must be glued in but is very similar . It uses kitsch bent button boards which would be around 5$ to buy, not including shipping. I hear that shipping international for those boards is also CRAZY expensive, while I offer 3$ flat shipping anywhere. So comparing , that is a minimum 5$+ shipping just for boards.
2) second, if you were to pay for printed parts(because you don't own a 3d printer), the cost would be around 5-10$ depending where you shop. So 15$ so far for custom PCB and plastic parts, plus shipping for both the PCB AND the plastic parts.
3) buttons and pads can be had cheap-ish if you buy in big bulk, but otherwise can be very expensive individually or even in small bulk and especially if you buy domestic. For buttons and pads domestic, you are probably looking at least 8$ plus shipping. Running total: 23$ plus 3 separate shipping costs.
4) The item is unique in the fact that it is the only option for rear buttons, using original dmg buttons, in the cartridge compartment position, and without the need for glue. All factors that improve the look, ergonomics, and structural integrity of your build.
For all the reasons stated above, I believe 18$ and 15$ plus 3$ shipping is a very fair price considering the bits included and the effort put into the item. However like I said, community input and support is VERY VERY important to me because we are all in the same boat and tinkerers and video game enthusiasts and I'm not here to take advantage of anyone. I want to provide the community with more options to make their builds better and easier and just generally improve this great project, unfortunately that does come at a cost to me and that's why I explained how I developed the cost and I hope that seems fair . That being said, if there are massive issues with my decision I am totally open to listening to your concerns and working out any problems.
Thank you for taking the time to read my rant haha

Thanks! I have a few other items in the works that should hopefully make different parts of the build much quicker and easier. Hopefully I can find the time to finish them all up haha

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Thanks for the detailed explanation! The pricing is fine, don't worry about that. You put a lot of time into this, I wouldn't mind if you slap a few bucks on top so you make a bit more profit.

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
haha well, while that sounds great on my end, I feel like this is a good spot for everyone else. I wouldnt feel comfortable asking anymore than 18$ to keep it fair

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
What the ..... 18 dollars!!!! is that plus shipping.!
Why i am saying this is because it's 2 buttons and a easy to make pcb. Dont get me wrong but the price is not worth it if you can get the same thing with case and custom buttons for 12 euros. Sorry m8 if the pcb what's something very nice with gold and aloud more options mabey then.
UPDATE. People were messaging me here. Saying i was a sad man

And if people do not beleave me because no one is selling this.

kubino's thread states the following prices:
- at least 12€ for a case
- USB cut (which you will need for the SAIO) 3€
- the only addon that gives you a bracket with buttons is another 9€
- international shipping 6,5€
That is 30,5€ combined. According to Google 1€ is currently 1,175695$. So you will have to pay 35,86$. That is not the same as 21$.
Your numbers are off and you seem to be comparing apples and oranges.

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
As far as i am concerned, i prefere when we are comparing apples to bananas
I’m joking. The point is also that unless i have missed something, Kubino is ofering only tactile switches which is far from being the same/feeling/design than rubber pads
