Hi guys,
im in the beginning of my MintyPi Project and trying to get all the parts. Now i figured that the battery from Adafruit is hard to come by, because Adafruit themselves (resp. DHL) want ~25$ for shipping to Germany and i think that's a little bit expensive.
I found this battery: http://www.ebay.de/itm/291361374285?ssP ... 1436.l2649
and i wonder if it will fit into the MintyPi.
The dimensions are 37.5mm / 5.95mm / 61mm, so it is slightly wider and thicker.
Will it fit? And if so: what do i do with the white cable? Is it obsolete?
Thanks in advance...

Re: Battery Alternative
I used a non Adafruit one measuring 5x 37x 59. It fits fine. This is nearly an extra mm thick so depending on what you stick the battery and screen surround down with (e.g thickness of vhb) you might be ok.
Third wire is probably for circuit protection but my German is rusty. So in this instance not required.
I bought this battery:
