here is a tutorial for the V 1.1 hdmi screen

that a tutorial for the older 1.1 versions (completely useless if you happen to get the newer version of the 1.1)

the version
1.0
1.1

are OK before a certain date.....

after that the version 1.1 has now also become a bit of crap shoot.....

the only way for the moment i see, is that you contact the sellers and get confirmation of what version they actually have....

ideally i'd like a photo confirmation, that way i personally can be certain....


its kinda put me off a bit in actually considering this screen (even though i've invested in some adapters which i still desperately want to use)
but i'm looking (and i'd suggest the same to other)
i've messaged a number of seller.... who ever comes back with a positive response gets my money (even if its priced higher than other)

but with that, i wouldn't recommend to buy anything without checking with the supplier (buyers beware)....
i bought mine several months ago, so there's a high chance the stock has since changed....

The 2017/9/9 1.1 version fits after some small modifications on the screen:

- remove the four sticking out rectangles on the corners of the white screen border
- remove a bit of the right side of the PCB

Remove the outer white plastic brackets from the screen by snap off or cut. And if useful: desolder the GPIO connectors from the controller boards.

doesnt matter if its a version 1.1

its the date that will determine if it fits (doesnt look good)....

what does the screen actually look like...


mine was also a version 1.1

it fitted like a glove...

even the date isnt a determining factor.....

but if you are unlucky to get the dodgy sized screen, heres a solution.....
