Removing hot glue
Removing hot glue
What is the easiest way to remove large amounts of hot glue? I have a feeling once I reach the end, I won't be able to close the case, and will probably want to start from scratch.

All sources seem to show that you just have to wipe it with isopropyl alcohol.yaniv wrote:What is the easiest way to remove large amounts of hot glue? I have a feeling once I reach the end, I won't be able to close the case, and will probably want to start from scratch.

I use a super sharp knife to cut it down when needed and just peel it away if i want to remove a whole piece of glue. Alcohol wipes can help. Be careful though around your solder points and wires as you can break the connections

I carefully slice mine with an x-acto knife. Works great!yaniv wrote:What is the easiest way to remove large amounts of hot glue? I have a feeling once I reach the end, I won't be able to close the case, and will probably want to start from scratch.

Thanks everyone! Yeah exacto works great but I'll prob try the alcohol on an ear bud for the tighter spots.
