Removing hot glue

What is the easiest way to remove large amounts of hot glue? I have a feeling once I reach the end, I won't be able to close the case, and will probably want to start from scratch.

All sources seem to show that you just have to wipe it with isopropyl alcohol.

I use a super sharp knife to cut it down when needed and just peel it away if i want to remove a whole piece of glue. Alcohol wipes can help. Be careful though around your solder points and wires as you can break the connections

I carefully slice mine with an x-acto knife. Works great!

Thanks everyone! Yeah exacto works great but I'll prob try the alcohol on an ear bud for the tighter spots.
