Getting stereo sound out of headphone jack

Post by Ganreizu » Tue Jun 07, 2016 7:20 am

Wermy mentioned there was a thread for getting stereo sound out of the headphone jack in his guide but i couldn't find it and it wasn't linked either. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or info on how to get stereo sound out of the headphone jack with potentiometer using PWM method?

Cannikin posted this and I'm sure it can be adapted to what you need, just replace the sound card with the PWM audio.

I just finished the mono, so I know what's needed. The only difference is that you need a stereo amp and the stereo low pass filter. Then the two L/R outputs coming out of the stereo low pass filter go to L and R in on the potentiometer. Then L and R out on the potentiometer go to L/R in on the headphone jack. You obviously don't bend the pins but keep them separate. That will give you stereo on the headphone jack.

Hey Popcorn is there a Stereo amp and stereo low pass filter you recommend?

Go for the Adafruit Stereo Amp. For the filter, just follow the hardware guide. That one is a stereo filter. I used that but built a mono one from it.
