No you don't have to cut at all but just shave to remove the sharp corner. I hope the pic below illustrates better what I mean.

I will try that now, hopefully I won't mess it up!

Hey another option is using a countersink like this http://www.amazon.com/General-Tools-195 ... ountersink
you can get them at any hardware store and will give a nice clean look

Holy shit! I knew those PCBs were going to make it easy but that makes it look like a cake walk. Hey Brain, I was wondering something though. I saw on the pictures that every wire was nice in order and on a straight line. How is this possible if I may ask? I have no knowledge about these PCBs, sorry if it's a dumb question.

Because those are custom PCBs and he probably put the Ground to the side so it would align with the ground on the Teensy,
the same goes for the buttons. Which button you put on which pin is totally up to you, except for GRND of course.
