Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!
Re: Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!
Hi, will there ever be regular production or another run of the Minty Pi v3 kits? I bought a case and battery from Helder in anticipation but I probably shouldn't hold on to them if I can't get my hands on the actual v3 kits. Thanks.

More pre-orders should go out this week. After the pre-orders, get out, the leftover stock will be put up for sale. Helder has said there will definitely be another batch in the future also.

I should have another preorder in 1 month and have stock in 3 months. So the next batch is not too far away.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). Don't contact me about any of my boards if they are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them.

Get the kester brand no clean flux pen. Stay away from pastes since most require cleaning up.

Re: Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!
Using the flux pen like that, do I just basically "draw" a line across all the pads, or should be just dabbing the tip on each pad?

Just get the pads wet, you press the tip in so it gets wet with the flux then just get the pads wet.

Re: Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!
I had some trouble with my first build, all issues have been fixed and I just wanted to share something. First I would like to say thank you for the help with troubleshooting in these forums. They have been extremely helpful.
I was among those who received shipments before April and had some issues, all of which have been addressed in a timely manner thanks to Helder and LTM.
The issue that I would like to share was with the video feed. I was getting nothing on my screen except White. All sound worked and I checked continuity multiple times as well as reflowed the screen ribbon about seven times. I decided to check continuity one more time between the gpio on the pi and the mainboard. Somehow I lost continuity on the pad labeled "SCK". Reflowed that one at the pi itself, and everything works perfect.
Just wanted to share that in case somebody wants to add it to the Wiki or this thread. Thank you again for the time an effort that was invested into this project.
