No boot kites curcuit sword v1.3a
No boot kites curcuit sword v1.3a
I have an circuit sword v1.3a 20180703 that im really struggling to get to boot up
ive put a cm3 in the port and have ran through all the assembly guide a few times with i think all leds showing as they should and cant seem to get it to do more than light up my 640 by 480 back light with a blank black screen. NO PGOOD LED .
Im stuck at step 12 on https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... cuit-Sword
Ive tried formatting the sd card with ntfs - fat 32 to avail and have flashed the sword image in both cases using win 32 disk image.
I know the sd card to work as my GB zero with the saio img flashed boots just fine on that card
Could i have gotten a duff CM3 ?

Could you swap to only using the 320x240 LCD for now until it is successfully booted. Can you post some pictures with it powered on showing all the LEDs? You don't need to 'format' the SD card at all. After you have 'imaged' it with win32diskimager, when you put the SD into your PC does it appear as a 58MB usb drive? And if you open it up does it contain a bunch of files, one of them being 'cs-config.txt' ?

Thanks for the quick reply
Just tried with it with the 320*240 LCD screen no start I've two of these screens and I tried both as a best be sure method. Nothing still. Do I need to desolder the brightness jumper for that?
Yes the SD card shows as a two partion removable storage 57mb odd labeled boot and a 2 gb with the rest the card showing as unformatted.
I flashed the card about 4_5 times total each time I changed somit I did a flash to b sure.
SD card fitted has a image on

Ok great all looks good, I suspect it is the SD card holder or the CM3, I've emailed you with return details and I'll sort it out for you

Check with the carrier, it must end up with a royal mail delivery when it is imported. TYPICALLY it's your countries 'standard' posting office (like in US it is USPS, in Canada it's Canada Post). Or also typically when you received the parcel, whichever company dropped it off would be the one.. As long as you have the tracking number and send that to me, I can get it redirected if it ends up with another company (e.g. Parcel Force in the UK allow me to redirect when it enters the UK)

Another thing can you tell me what I should be using here ? I have a pair of pi3 extenders that I'm a bit lost on what to use in a separate build.

https://github.com/kiteretro/Super-AIO/ ... PI3ADAPTER
and
https://github.com/kiteretro/Super-AIO/ ... /PI3/PICUT
It's for fitting a Pi3 to a SAIO. I wouldn't recommend as it is difficult and error prone and I don't have any spares!
