they do the ili9341 screen in 2.2", 2.4", and 2.8" flavours!!rednakes wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 2:50 pmThanks for the info. The original screen was 2.2", in the video he said the new version's screen is bigger.moosepr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:31 am
looking back through twitter, the screen is an ili9341 as in the guide in my signature.

and to save space, i would assume gpio is used for the buttons
insert standard "thats what she said" joke!!
how does that mint tin compare to a zero size wise?
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I think it will be the 2.4" size. The 2.8" is a hair too long I believe. (with the pcb behind it).moosepr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 3:11 pmthey do the ili9341 screen in 2.2", 2.4", and 2.8" flavours!!rednakes wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 2:50 pmThanks for the info. Re: mintyPi 2.0
It's the 2.2 actually. The first one I did was 2". That 0.2" may not sound like a lot, but it's 10% bigger than the first screen I used, and seems much bigger when you put them side by side: 2.4" might fit though, I'll have to look into it.Sirlias wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 3:58 pmI think it will be the 2.4" size. Awesome Project. This is exactly what I was looking for. A parts list would really help so I can get things ordered. I understand you have a ton of work on your awesome videos, so it might be a wile before you release all the build info. I just know that it takes a wile for me to find parts sometimes and would like to get a head start so when you do release the video/instructions I can start working.
Again super awesome! Thanks for all your work.

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I'll post a parts list soon. There are a couple of parts that I want to try out cheaper alternatives for first.Claw22000 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 5:11 pmAwesome Project. Re: mintyPi 2.0
Unfortunately no, I did mine with DS Lite buttons which are slightly different and use the silicone membrane rather than clicky tactile switches.yogurtcup wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 5:32 pmCould these buttons work?

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I see. But couldn't i use these over the conductive pads? Or are they too large/small in size?wermy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 7:27 pmUnfortunately no, I did mine with DS Lite buttons which are slightly different and use the silicone membrane rather than clicky tactile switches.yogurtcup wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 5:32 pmCould these buttons work?
